PvP FAQ - Guild Wars Forums

I'm looking for a PvP faq but haven't seen one. Perhaps I overlooked it.

If there is no FAQ I guess the questions I have are

1) How do I get to other areas with a PvP character? I can only get to the 4v4 matches (fort koga?) I understand there is a specific GvG area, but can I access things like 8v8, Capture the Relic, etc with random teams? Or at least pre-coordinated teams of non guild?

2) With my PvP character the xp bar is increasing. Does this mean anything? Does it have something to do with #1?
